Droopy/Lazy Eyed Villain Make Up Look

Hello everyone! I’m back, again, here to show a little something I did a couple of days ago.

It’s a droopy-eyed/lazy-eyed villain eye makeup I did. I did not take photos of the steps (which I kind of regretted), so I’ll just show the end product and what type of products I used on where.

First up are the brows. I actually glued them down to hide my real brows so I could make this straight slanted shape that villains in anime and manga usually have(?). So to hide my real brows it’s:

1. Regular glue stick
2. Loose powder
3. Concealer
4. Foundation (and after concealing and putting on foundation, I powdered it again)
5. Regular makeup sponge

To create the brows themselves:

1. Dark purple eyeshadow & black eyeshadow
2. Slanted brush

Next is the face:

1. Moisturizer
2. Foundation
3. Loose powder
4. Bronzer
5. Regular makeup sponge

Lastly, the EYES:

1. Eye primer all over the lid and under the eyebrows
2. Light brown & golden eyeshadow all over the lid.
3. Black liquid liner for the fake crease (let it dry first).
4. And after the liquid liner, dark brown pencil eyeliner to make it more natural.
5. Set the fake crease with dark brown eyeshadow and blend (and make sure to blend it with your nose contouring if you’re going to contour your nose as well)
6. Highlighter for under the eyebrows (I usually use white eyeshadow)
7. Black liquid eyeliner to line the eyes.
8. Dark grey & bronze eyeshadow for under the eyes.
9. I highly recommend using mascara. I didn’t here because I couldn’t find mine.
10. Fluffy eyeshadow brush
11. Flat eyeshadow brush

I hope this helped some of you who read this! Maybe next time I should do a step-by step version.

Jakarta Comic Con

HELLO EVERYONE! I HAVE SOME AMAZING NEWS (after another long break from posting) (when will I start posting consistently).

So there is news that there will be a comic convention in Jakarta, aptly named Jakarta Comic Con! You cannot fathom the amount of HAPPINESS surging within me! I’ve been crying over the fact that I can’t go to San Diego Comic Con since 100 years ago so I was so excited to find that there will be a similar event here in Jakarta!

Obviously, I have already picked out my cosplay plans for this event! Both are from western comics (Marvel for Day 2 and DC for Day 3, unless they have a cosplay competition, which will change up things a bit).

This is what keeps me going after a whole weekend of heartbreaking SDCC updates from all over the internet.

First Time!!! (Kinda…ish…)

I’ve been window shopping online shops for clothing nowadays. It used to be just beauty, cosmetics and cosplay-related things, but now I’m slowly moving towards fashion as well. I know it seems like I’ve come to the party a little too late, but can you blame me? My size is hard to come by (at least here in Indonesia).

I’ve been browsing through Zalora.co.id and Berrybenka.net, and finally chose to buy from the latter. I bought two items that can be categorized as sweaters? Sweatshirts? Outerwear? Check out the website, the clothes are pretty cute.

So here’s A Thing…

It’s been such a long time since I’ve updated! I think I’ve made a good couple of costumes since my last post (which is probably why I haven’t been updating…like…ever).

Well, I failed to post on my 1 year anniversary of cosplaying (I’m a month late gosh), so I’m here to compensate! It’s been over a year and I’ve cosplayed about 10 characters, and I’ve loved every single bit of it! There have been lots of ups and downs (getting lost on the way to a con, not getting a wig on time after WEEKS, lost contact lens, and the likes), but it’s still super!

I have 3 projects for November and I have started on NONE of them. Amazing, right? I’ll probably slave away 2 days before I have to get them finished, which is totally okay, right? Right!?

I’ll probably post progress pics in the near future…if I don’t forget to actually take the pictures.

Oh Gosh I Haven’t Updated Since January

And I’m so sorry!

This semester is so jam-packed that I’m overwhelmed. I don’t know how my GPA’s gonna turn out but I hope my future employers won’t care that much about me failing in the Mass Communication Theory subject I am (forced) to take.

I’ll update with some photoshoots of cosplay and makeup review and recommendations. I’ll also do some other beauty reviews like face masks and shampoo because they’re this one (I don’t like name calling but TRESEMME) that I need to rant about because my scalp didn’t feel this horrid before.

January’s Mini-Haul

There was a time I promised myself that I would stop buying makeup because I don’t need anymore than I already have.

That time is not now.

I went on a little mini shopping spree last week and got all these babies. Truth be told, I cried when I got home because I was (supposedly) saving up to buy 2 new wigs for upcoming conventions. But………it did not work out.

What I bought was (from left to right):

I haven’t really used much of them other than the Nyx lip creams because I haven’t really been putting on much makeup lately. But what I can say is that they’re gorgeous. The pink one (called Istanbul) is a tad too light for my skin, but it still works. Makes it more neon than light pink on my lips for some odd reason, though. The peach-nude colour (called Stockholm) is PERFECT. Not too brown, not too nude, and not to peach. I use it for an everyday colour and it stays on so well.

Can’t wait to try on more of these cutesie products~

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR

I know it’s pretty late (well not really since it’s not yet 2014) but Merry Christmas to all! And a very blessed coming new year! I’ve been going around doing a lot of not really productive things all holiday, but it’s the holidays so it doesn’t really matter (right). I’ve even stopped working on my cosplays (which is a bad thing, do this at your own risk).

I’ll probably post some cosplay WIPs in mid-January. I’ve still half a mind to what I want to cosplay as at the big festival in May. It has to be a stunner!

Hellofest 9 Day Uno und Day Dos

Day 1

Day 2

(yes, my friend was cosplaying Gou on Day 2. I was Male!Gou…although people thought I was Rin. so in this shot, I kinda was Rin)

We had loads of fun~ I even made some of my friends that weren’t huge manga fans wanna go to events like this again. I’ve also got my old (as in 75-year-old old) sewing machine working. So it means I’ll be able to start making my own cosplay clothes!

Can’t wait for the next con!

The Dark World

So last week I watched Thor: The Dark World.

And if you’re wondering, yes, the movie premiered much earlier in Indonesia than some other countries. I watched it on October 30th, the opening night (because hey, what can I say, I’m a fangirl who has waited 7 months for this).

I’m not doing a review, at least not yet, because I know I might spoil the movie for some of you. I’d usually be fuck it because that’s how I am, but since I know how truly horrid things spoilers are when you don’t want them, I will not.

One thing I just have to say is that I love Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston’s acting. I love the growth of both their characters and I have to say, Chris is one of the most underrated actors and Thor is one of the most underrated characters I’ve ever seen. Give him some credit guys. No, seriously. People keep thinking that he’s this giant lump of teddy bear (which he is, no doubt), but he’s more than that. Much, much more than that.

Go watch the movie. 204891203984/10 I recommend.

Of Roses and Tea

So I haven’t done a lipstick of the week review in forever! And that’s because I haven’t been using makeup much over the past few weeks. It’s always been powder, mascara, powder, mascara, powder, eye liner, mascara, lip balm, so I didn’t know what I should write.

BUT NOW I DO.

It’s not a lipstick of the week, but it’s something I’ve been using for a couple of months that I really, really love. It’s Nyx’s Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Tea Rose.

I really love Nyx products. It’s probably a brand I use the most after ones like Revlon and The Body Shop.

I know it looks really dark, but it sheers out when applying and I personally think it looks gorgeous, especially on people with either a pink undertone or a golden undertone. It enhances one and compliments the other. The texture is creamy and not sticky, and it stays one pretty well for a lipgloss – a good couple of hours without eating or drinking. It also smells divine. I have a distaste for lip products that smell like chemical factories.
